Diplomová práce, navazující na práci bakalářskou, se zabývá vývojem využití ploch v obci Malá Úpa ve východních Krkonoších. Hlavním cílem práce je na základě mapových podkladů a odborné literatury popsat změny využití ploch (především lesních ploch, trvalých travních porostů a zástavby) a hybné síly zjištěných změn v pěti časových horizontech mezi lety 1841 a 2020. Dále se práce na základě dvou terénních výzkumů podrobněji zaměřuje na vývoj zástavby na vybraných lokalitách zájmového území - na v minulosti zaniklou zástavbu ve Lvím dole a v současnosti nově vznikající zástavbu na Pomezních Boudách.The diploma thesis further develops the bachelor thesis and focuses on the changes of the land use in the municipality of Malá Úpa in the eastern part of the Krkonoše Mountains. The main objective of the thesis is to describe the changes of the land use (primarily the evolution of forested areas, permanent grasslands and built-up areas), and the driving forces of these changes; the research is drawing from respective historical and current maps and relevant literature. The time period of the research, years 1841-2020, is studied in five time horizons. For a closer look into the problematics the thesis focuses in detail on the built-up areas in selected locations: field research was carried out in the Lví důl Valley concerning vanished houses in the area, field research on Pomezní Boudy then focused on new, recently build houses.
