Tato diplomová práce se věnuje historii školství v obci Dolany u Olomouce, a to od prvopočátků doložených v historických dokumentech a archiváliích, přes hledání podrobností o školním dění v průběhu moderních dějin, tedy 19. a 20. století, kdy došlo k nejpodstatnějším změnám ve vývoji školského systému. V práci je zaznamenán průběh právě těmito dvěma staletími včetně historických událostí a také popis významných osobností a jejich účast na chodu školy a výuky.
