Popsána je také historie čínské emigrace do Spojených států a historie Čínsko-americké literatury. Uveden je i životopis a rozbor literárního stylu Yiyun Li.The thesis focuses on the characters of Chinese immigrants to the United States in the works of a Chinese-American author Yiyun Li. It explores their reasons for immigration, how successful are their lives in the U.S., and how do they see the differences between China and the United States. It also describes the history of Chinese immigration to the United States, and the history of Chinese-American literature. Bio of Yiyun Li and an analysis of her writing style are also included.
