V diplomové práci jsou popsány Baireovy prostory a Baireova věta o kategoriích s kompletním důkazem. Poté jsou ukázany některé aplikace Baireovy věty, konkrétně princip stejnoměrné omezenosti, Banach-Steinhausova věta, Banachova věta o otevřeném zobrazení a Mazurova věta. Dále práce obsahuje řešené příklady související s Baireovou větou a jejími aplikacemi.In this thesis the Baire spaces and the Baire category theorem with its complete proof are described. Further, some applications of the Baire category theorem are showed, namely uniform boundedness principle, the Banach-Steinhaus theorem, the Banach open mapping theorem and the Mazur's theorem. This thesis also contains solved examples related to the Baire category theorem and it's applications.
