Čtení v rámci surdopedie představuje specifickou oblast, proto je mu v tomto pojetí věnována samostatná kapitola. Zmíněné poznatky spolu s teoretickou platformou týkající se techniky úpravy textu a výsledků čtenářských dotazníků byly integrovány do praktické části diplomové práce. Praktická část je pak zaměřena na úpravu konkrétní beletrie (Michael Ende: Děvčátko Momo a ukradený čas).. -- Abstract: The theoretical part of this Thesis tries to map out the area of reading which are indispensable requirement and integral part of reading. Reading in context of auditory handicap represents a specific area therefore a special charter has given for this. The above mentioned knowledge, together with a theoretical platform of the text-adaptation techniques and results of reader's questionnaire have been integrated into the practical part of this Thesis. The practical part deals with adaptation of specific fiction (Michael Ende: Momo).
