Pojednává o problematice procesu stárnutí a stáří, možnostech trávení volného času seniorskou populací, aktivním životním stylu seniorů a jeho vlivu na stáří. Cílem empirické části bakalářské práce je zjistit proměny v pojetí trávení volného času seniorů, srovnat dobu před jejich odchodem do důchodu s dobou po odchodu do důchodu v různých věkových obdobích, rozdíl v pojetí volného času mužů a žen v důchodovém věku a jakými faktory je volný čas seniorů nejvíce ovlivněn.. -- Abstract: In its theoretical part the work is focused on the free time: its characteristics, funktion and factors that affect it. It deals with the problematics of the process of growing old and the old age in general. It deals with the possibilities of spending the free time by the senior population; the active life style and its impact on the old age. The goal of the experimental part is to find the changes of understanding of approach to spending the free time of the old; to compair the time before retiring with the time after retiring with the focus on various age groupes. The difference in approach to the free time spent by retired men and women. Factors that influence the free time of the seniors the most.
