Sleduje nonutilitární projevy u archaických populací (Homo neanderthhalensis, Homo heidelbergensis, atd.) a anatomicky moderního člověka před nástupem mladého paleolitu, snaží se o jejich utřízení a revizi ve světle výzkumů posledního desetiletí. Na příkladě touto rešerší vzniklého souboru artefaktů se pak snaží stanovit, do jakého rámce současných tří dominantních teorií o vzniku umění tyto výsledky zapadají.. -- Abstract: The thesis deals with the points at issue of proto-art. It monitors manifestations of nonutilitarian behaviour among archaic populations (Homo neanderthhalensis, Homo heidelbergensis, etc.) and anatomically modern humans before the beginning of the Upper Palaeolithic, strives for their classifying and revision in the light of the last decade of research. By exemplification of the sam-ple of artefacts, that has resulted from this recherche, it tries to determine, how the findings falls into the framework of contemporary three dominant theories of art beginnings.
