Magisterská práce přibližuje problematiku seniorů a možnost vzdělávání v tomto věku, které v dřívějších letech u nás neexistovalo. Práce je hlavně zaměřena na výzkum životní spokojenosti mezi seniory. Je rozdělena na dvě části.Teoretická část je zaměřena na definici hlavních pojmů, jež souvisejí se stářím. Je zde věnovaná pozornost změnám, které stáří provázejí i vzdělávání seniorů na univerzitě třetího věku. Ve výzkumné části posuzuji životní spokojenost seniorů pomocí dotazníku - DŽS. Základní soubor jsem rozdělila na 4 vedlejší soubory : Senioři navštěvující univerzitu třetího věku a seniory ostatní. Tyto dva základní soubory jsem rozdělila ještě na ženy a muže. V rámci těchto 4 vedlejších souborů zjišťuji, zda senioři navštěvující univerzitu třetího věku projevují vyšší míru životní spokojenosti, než senioři ostatní a zda ženy vykazují vyšší míru životní spokojenosti než muži. Dále jsem porovnávala životní spokojenost seniorů s normou a vztah životní spokojenosti a věku. Vzorek populace použitý pro výzkum tvořili senioři žijící ve městech Česká Třebová a Svitavách.This magister dissertation treats the problems of seniors and the possibility of education inthis age which in the past had not existed in our country. The dissertation mainly focuses on a research of the life satisfaction among seniors. It is dividen into two parts. The theoretical part is targeted the main terms definition which are connected with the old age. Attention to the changes going along with the old age and education of seniors at third age university is paid here. In the research part I view the life satisfaction of seniors by a DŽS questionnaire. I divided the basic file into 4 subsidiary files: Seniors attending an university of third age and the other seniors. These two basic files were divided into women and men. Within these 4 subsidiary files I determine if the seniors attending an university od third age display bigger rate of the life satisfaction then the other seniors and if women display bigger rate of the life satisfaction than men. I also compared the life satisfaction of seniors with standards and relation between the life satisfaction and age. Population sample used for my research was made up from seniors living in Česká Třebová and Svitavy.
