Srovnání dvou překladů hry od Tennesseho Williamse Kočka na rozpálené plechové střeše na základě interpretačních posunů. Jedná se o překlad Luby a Rudolfa Pellarových a druhá přeložená verze je od Milana Lukeše. Tyto dva překlady jsou předmětem diplomové práce. Součástí práce je teoretická příprava, která vysvětluje pojem interpretace a následující představení hry a jednotlivých postav. Tyto informace slouží jako podklad pro interpretaci. Součástí této práce je analýza jednotlivých ukázek. Jedná se o vždy o ukázku originálu a pro srovnání ukázky z obou překladů. Po této analýze následuje závěrečné zhodnocení jednotlivých překladů a shrnutí hlavních rozdílů a poznatků.In this thesis I compared two translations of Tennessee Willimas´play The Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. I focused on shifts of meaning in compared Czech versions. Int this thesis I explained terms word for word translations and free translation, shifts of meaning in the process of translation. I introduced the author and his play and also focused on the analysis of the characters. The main part of this thesis is the text analysis. The summary consists of problems I found out during the analysis of the translated czech versions of the play.
