Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit vztah a postoj respondentů k matematice, míru oblíbenosti a důležitosti předmětu matematika. Práce nás v teoretické části seznamuje s historií matematiky, významnými matematickými osobnostmi, připomíná význam osobnosti učitele a motivace při vyučování. Praktická část je zaměřena na dotazníkové šetření, které zjišťovalo zájem studentů oboru Učitelství pro 1. stupeň základní školy Pedagogické fakulty Univerzity Palackého v Olomouci o matematiku.The aim of the diploma work was to find out the approach of the informants to mathematics as well as the degree of popularity and importance of this subject. The work in its theoretical part informs us about the history of mathematics, significant personalities in the field of mathematics and it also reminds the importance of teacher's personality and of the motivation during teaching. The practical part is focused on questionnaire survey, which tried to find out the degree of interest in mathematics by students of Teacher Education for primary schools at Palacký University in Olomouc.
