Daná práce se zabývá tématem souvislosti (korelace) mezi sociální úzkostností (sociální fobií) a množstvím osvojených jazyků. Cílem práce bylo zjistit korelaci mezi mírou sociální úzkostnosti a počtem naučených jazyků. Ke splnění cílu byl proveden kvantitativní výzkum za použití online dotazníku. Hlavní část dotazníku tvořila Liebowitzova stupnice sociální úzkostnosti s 24 otázkami, úvodní část dotazníku tvořily 4 otázky vlastní konstrukce. Dotazník byl dostupný ve 2 jazycích - v ruském a českém. Finální výpočty byly provedeny na 154 respondentech, ze kterých 103 vyplnilo český překlad dotazníku a 51 vyplnilo ruský překlad. Množství osvojených jazyků účastníků se pohybovalo v rozmezí 1 až 5 jazyků s velkou většinou osob mluvících 2 nebo 3 jazyky. Vzhledem k povaze získaných dat byla provedena Spearmanova korelace mezi sumou bodů v Liebowitzově stupnici sociální úzkostnosti a počtem naučených jazyků u každého z respondentů. Ve výsledku se ukázal pouze zanedbatelně malý vztah mezi mírou sociální úzkostnosti a množstvím osvojených řečí.The present thesis addresses the link (correlation) between the degree of social anxiety (social phobia) and the number of learnt languages. The aim of the work was to find out the correlation between the degree of social anxiety and the amount of learnt languages. To achieve the goal, quantitative research with online questionnaire was conducted. The main part of the questionnaire included Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale (LSAS) made of 24 questions, the beginning of the survey included 4 more questions. The survey was accessible in 2 languages - Russian and Czech. The final computations were conducted on 154 participants, where 103 of them completed the Czech survey and 51 of them completed the Russian survey. The numbers of the participants' learnt languages varied from 1 to 5, and the vast majority of the respondents spoke 2 or 3 languages. Assuming the characteristics of collected data, Spearman's correlation was conducted between the sum of points in LSAS and the amount of learnt languages for each of the participants. The results pointed to only insignificantly small relationship between the degree of social anxiety and the number of learnt languages.
