Tato diplomová práce zkoumá pomocí srovnávací analýzy kurikulum výchovy ke zdraví v USA, konkrétně ve třech státech - Kalifornii (kurikulární dokument z roku 2008), Minnesotě (2007) a Washingtonu D.C. (2016). V kurikulárních dokumentech tří vybraných států byly zkoumány 4 kategorie: Obecná forma kurikulárního dokumentu, Výživa, Násilí, šikana a manipulace a Prevence HIV, pohlavně přenosných chorob a neplánovaného těhotenství. Washington D.C. Výzkum této diplomové práce potvrdil, že ani implementace NHES, ani rok vydání dokumentu neovlivňují kvalitu kurikulárního dokumentu a tím pádem ani kvalitu výchovy ke zdraví.This diploma thesis focuses on the research of curriculum of health education in the USA through comparative analysis. Particularly, it focuses on the curricular documents of California (document valid since 2008), Minnesota (2007) and Washington D.C. (2016). Health education is included in all of the three states from Kindergarten to 10th (age 15) or 12th (age 17) grade. Moreover, health education is one of the ten WSCC model components. This complex model plays a significant role in raising health literate children. The CDC Healthy Schools organization, which is a part of the CDC, created 8 overarching National Health Education Standards (NHES). These standards were adopted by 25 states by 2018. With the DASH being another important organization lead by the CDC, there is an emphasis on HIV, STI and unintended pregnancy prevention initiated by this organization. Due to this emphasis, the DASH influences the conception of health education. The research in the curricular documents of the three states was focused on four categories: General Form of the Curricular Documents; Nutrition; Violence, Bullying and Manipulation; HIV, STI and Unintended Pregnancy Prevention. Washington D.C. (the overall coefficient 100; the overall number of topics in the three categories: 58) and California (coefficient 100; 61 topics) reached equal level in quality and quantity of information included in the curricular documents, even though only Washington D.C. adopted NHES. The worst results were reached by the curricular document of Minnesota (coefficient 79,16; 47 topics). However, Minnesota was picked to be the representant of a state with a weak level of health education conception. The most comprehensive category of the three was Nutrition category. The curricular documents of several states went through an innovation after 2018. It seems to be a consequence of revealing the dismal results of the research focused on the WSCC model fulfilling. The research of this diploma thesis confirmed, that neither the implementation of NHES nor the date of releasing the document influences the quality of a curricular document or the quality of health education itself.
