Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na scénografická specifika v ostravském divadle Stará aréna, jejichž analýza vychází z publikace Patrice Pavise Analyzing Performance: Theater, Dance and Film a typologie divadelního prostoru podle Andrease Kotteho a Kazimierze Brauna. Zároveň se zde poukazuje na vytváření představení ve stylu site specific, open air a pouličního divadla, jejichž charakter je demonstrován na inscenacích Cesta do Ameriky a Šampaňský socialista, při jejichž analýze se vychází z publikací Divadlo v netradičním prostoru, performance a site specific: Současné tendence od Radoslavy Schmelzové a Site Specific od autorů Denisy Václavové a Tomáše Žižky. Také se práce soustředí na zde se rozvíjející trend autorského divadla, a to skrze představení Humanity Upgrade, kde je scénografické řešení klíčové při hledání významů a komunikaci s divákem. V této části se stává podpůrnou literaturou kniha Josefa Kovalčuka Téma: Autorské divadlo.The bachelor's thesis focuses on the specifics of stage design of the theatre Stará aréna in Ostrava. Their analysis is based on the Patrice Pavis' publication, Analyzing Performance: Theater, Dance, and Film, and on the typology of the theatrical space according to Andreas Kotte and Kazimierz Braun. Simultaneously, the thesis points out the making of performances in the style of site specific, open air, and street theatre. Their character is demonstrated on the productions Cesta do Ameriky and Šampaňský socialista, and their analysis proceeds from the publications Divadlo v netradičním prostoru, performance a Site specific: Současné tendence by Radoslava Schmelzová, and Site specific by Denisa Václavová and Tomáš Žižka. The thesis focuses as well on the rising trend of the author's theatre through the production of Humanity Upgrade where the layout of the stage design is crucial in the search for meanings, and in the communication with the audience. The literature supporting this part is the book by Josef Kovalčuk, Téma: Autorské divadlo.
