Bakalářská práce se zabývá nástupem do domova pro seniory očima klientů. Cílem bylo porozumět fenoménu adaptace seniora na život v domově pro seniory. Teoretická část popisuje stárnutí, adaptaci seniorů na stáří a jejich specifické potřeby. Zahrnuje také popis sociální služby domova pro seniory a roli sociálního pracovníka v domově pro seniory. Výzkum byl realizován prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s klienty domova pro seniory. Popisuje pocity, obavy a očekávání, které seniory doprovází při nástupu do domova pro seniory, jak vnímají odchod ze svého domova a následný proces adaptace na nové prostředí. V závěru jsou formulovány doporučení pro sociální pracovníky, které by mohly vést k podpoře seniorů při zvládání této situace.The bachelor's thesis deals with a moving to the retirement home from the perspective of its clients. The aim of the thesis is to understand the phenomenon of senior's adaptation to the life in retirement home. Theoretical part describes aging of seniors and their adjustment and also their specific needs. It also includes the description of social services provided in retirement home and role of its employees. The research was implemented through semistructured interviews with clients of the retirement home. It describes their feels, worries and expectations they have, when they enter the retirement home. It also describes how they feel about leaving their home and the following process of adaptation to new environment. At the end of the thesis are recommendations for the social workers, which might help the seniors to better cope with this situation.
