El objetivo de la tesis es analizar el trasfondo político y sociocultural en la novela La casa de los espíritus de la escritora chilena Isabel Allende. La primera parte trata de la situación política y social en Chile en el siglo XX y su reflejo en la obra. La segunda parte se dedica al contexto literario y los rasgos de realismo mágico presentes en la novela. También están mencionadas características de los personajes principales y comparación de los personajes de Isabel Allende y Gabriel García Márquez.The bachelor's thesis aims to analyze the political and social-cultural background in the novel The House of the Spirits of the Chilean writer Isabel Allende. The first part of the thesis deals with the political a social situation in Chile in the 20th century and its reflection in the book. The second part is dedicated to the literary context of the novel and to the presence of Magical Realism in the book.
