Tato práce si klade za cíl zmapování vybraných komparativních a kvantitativně-lingvistických analýz aplikovaných na text Voynichova rukopisu. Čtenář je v jednotlivých kapitolách obeznámen s problematikou transliterace, rozklíčování textu pomocí ilustrací a s metodologií analýz zaměřující se na různé úrovně jazykového plá-nu. Jsou představeny studie badatelů, které reprezentují hlavní současné teorie ohledně jazykové podstaty rukopisu - ty by se daly rozdělit do tří hlavních větví. První z nich uvažuje rukopis jako text v nešifrovaném přirozeném jazyce, dle druhé se jedná o šif-rovaný přirozený jazyk a dle třetí se jedná o uměle vytvořený text, který nenese žádný význam. Ačkoli každý z uvedených badatelů dokládá pro svou teorii množství důkazů, překlad delší než několik slov zatím nebyl nikým navržen. Tato práce pak dále pouka-zuje i na některé nedostatky těchto studií, které jsou přítomny ve využité metodologii, implicitních a uměle užitých předpokladech nebo ve zkreslení výsledků pramenících z plurality transliterací.This work describes selected comparative and quantitative-linguistic analyzes applied to the text of the Voynich manuscript. In the individual chapters, the reader is acquainted with the issues of transliteration, text deciphering by means of illustrations and analysis methodology focusing on various levels of the language plan. Studies by researchers are presented that represent the main contemporary theories regarding the linguistic nature of the manuscript - these could be divided into three main branches. The first one con-siders the manuscript as text in unencrypted natural language, the second one as an en-crypted natural language and the third one as an artificial text that has no meaning. Alt-hough each of the above-mentioned scholars demonstrates a wealth of evidence for their theory, translation of more than a few words has not been suggested by anyone yet. This work then points to some shortcomings of these studies, which are present in the applied methodology, implicit and artificial assumptions or in the distortion of the results resulting from the plurality of transliterations.
