Hlavním cílem práce bylo shrnout teoretické poznatky o hypnóze, hypnabilitě a osobnosti člověka se zaměřením na obranné mechanismy člověka. Dále ověřit existenci případně neexistenci souvislosti mezi hypnabilitou a obrannými mechanismy. Jako ukazatel hypnability jsem bylo zvoleno zvednutí ruky probanda v průběhu hypnózy. Metodu pro zjíšťování obranných mechanismů byl použit dotazník DSQ-40 (Defence Style Questionnaire). Vyjma zjíšťování vztahu mezi těmito dvěma fenomény jsem se dále zabývala vztahem mezi hypnabilitou a neuroticismem a neuroticismem a neurotickými obrannými mechanismy. Výzkum tvořilo 38 respondentů, kteří byli vybráni metodou samosběru. Výsledky výzkumu nepotvrdily statisticky významnou souvislost mezi hypnabilitou a obrannými mechanismy, které daný jedinec využívá. Výsledek byl podobný i ve vztahu hypnability a neuroticismu. Nicméně byla zjištěna statisticky významná pozitivní korelace mezi neuroticismem a neurotickými obranami.The main purpose of this work was to summarize theoretical knowledge about hypnosis, hypnability and personality of a person with focus on human defense mechanisms. Another goal was to further, verify the existence or non-existence of a relationship between hypnosis and defense mechanisms. As an indicator of hypnability, I have chosen to raise a proband's hand during hypnosis. The DSQ-40 (Defense Style Questionnaire) questionnaire was used as a method for detecting defense mechanisms. Except for revealing the relationship between these two phenomena, I have further explored the relationship between hypnosis and neuroticism and neuroticism and neurotic defense mechanisms. The research consisted of 38 respondents who were selected by the self-collection method. The results of the research did not confirm a statistically significant relationship between hypnability and defense mechanisms used by the individual. The result was similar in relation to hypnability and neuroticism. However, a statistically significant positive correlation was found between neuroticism and neurotic defenses.
