Bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice sebepojetí v souvislosti se životem v dětském domově, konkrétně u dětí staršího školního věku a adolescentů. Cílem práce je zjistit, zdali život mimo rodinné prostředí je jeden z určujících faktorů pro tvorbu a následný rozvoj sebepojetí. Dílčím cílem práce je zjistit souvislost mezi sebepojetím a délkou pobytu v dětském domově a také, zda přítomnost sourozence v této instituci ovlivňuje sebepojetí. Hlavní a zároveň jedinou diagnostickou metodou byla zvolena česká standardizovaná verze Dotazníku sebepojetí dětí a adolescentů Piers-Harris 2. Vzhledem k cílové skupině však byly některé položky upraveny. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 43 dětí a adolescentů žijících v dětském domově, z čehož bylo 23 chlapců a 20 dívek. Mimo to obsahoval výzkumný soubor i kontrolní skupinu dětí a adolescentů vyrůstajících v rodině, jejichž počet byl 87. Pomocí neparametrických testů Mann-Whitneyho U testu, Kruskal-Wallisova testu a testu Spearmanova korelačního koeficientu byly zjištěny signifikantně nižší výsledky dětí a adolescentů vyrůstajících v dětském domově nežli děti a adolescenti vyrůstající v rodině. Dále byl zjištěn také pozitivní vliv sourozence žijícího s dětmi a adolescenty v dětském domově na sebepojetí.Thesis is about problematics of self-concept in connection with life in childern's home. Specifically in children of older scholars and adolescence. The aim of thesis is to find out if life outside the family environment is one of the determining factors of creation and development of self-concept. I have tried to find connection between self-concept and the lenght of stay in the children's home and also with connection between self-concept and the presence of sibling in this institution. The main and also the only diagnostic method in this study was the czech standardized version of the Piers-Harris Children's Self-Concept Scale second edition. Due to the target group some of the items was modified. The reaserch sample consisted of 43 children and adolescents living in the childern's home. There were 23 boys and 20 girls. The sample consist also of control group of children and adolescents growing up in a family. The number of respondents in this group was 87. We used nonparametric Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test and Spearman's rank-order correlation test. There were detected significantly higher results in children and adolescents growing up in children's home than the ones growing up at family. Also we found that there is positive influence of sibling living with childern and adolescence in childern's home on self-concept.
