Diplomová práce na téma "Narození a začátek života v práci porodní asistentky a duly" pohlíží na problematiku porodních asistentek a dul z hlediska jejich vzdělání a kompetencí, a zabývá se snahou spolupracovat. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, na základě jakého vzdělání a kompetencí spolupracují porodní asistentky a duly při poskytování péče rodící ženě. Teoretická část diplomové práce se soustředí na oblast profese porodní asistentky a duly. Zabývá se především rozdílem ve vzdělání a rozsahem kompetencí. Zmiňuje profesní organizace porodních asistentek, organizace dul, ve kterých se sdružují, vymezuje definici porodu a zaměřuje se na poskytování péče při porodu. Výzkumná část přímo navazuje na teoretickou část diplomové práce. Zahrnuje analýzu výsledků výzkumu zjištěných na základě polostukturovaných rozhovorů s dulami a porodními asistentkami a vyhodnocuje dosažení hlavního díle. Výzkumným šetřením byla potvrzena rozdílnost ve vzdělání i v kompetencích porodních asistentek a dul. Spolupráce mezi porodní asistentkou a dulou je přiměřená a zlepšení spolupráce je ovlivněno předsudky o dulách.The diploma thesis "Birth and Early Life in the Work of Midwife and Doula" is focused on problem of midwives and doulas at point of their education and competences and it deals with cooperation. The aim was to find out on what education and competences midwives and doulas cooperate during providing care to woman in labour. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the profession of midwife and doula. It deals with the difference in education and the range of competences. It describes organisation of midwives and doulas, delimites the definiton of childbirth and it is focused on providing care during the childbirth. The research in connected with the theoretical part of the diploma thesis. It includes the analysis of results which was discovered on base of semi-structured interviews with doulas and midwives and evaluates the achievement of the main aim. Thanks to research the difference in education and competences of midwives and doulas was confirmed. The cooperation between midwife and doula is adequate and the improvement is affect predjudices of doulas.
