Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá fungování nespolehlivého vypravěče v seriálu Mr. Robot a způsob, jakým seriál této narativní metody využívá, s ohledem na teoretický základ o narativní analýze podle Seymoura Chatmana. Rozebíráno bude, nakolik je seriál na nespolehlivosti vypravěče založen a jak je vůbec odhalena. Mám v úmyslu popsat proměnu míry důvěryhodnosti hlavní postavy, Elliota Aldersona, v průběhu prvních dvou sezon a jeho přechody mezi vlastní domněnkou o spolehlivosti k přiznanému lhaní divákovi. Rovněž se zaměřím na využití fokalizace a porušování čtvrté stěny, a míry do níž by mohly ovlivňovat působení vypravěče na diváka. Rozebírány budou první dvě série seriálu, které byly dostupné v době zadávání této práce.This bachelor thesis looks into the functioning of the unreliable narrator in the show Mr. Robot and the way in which this show works with this narrative method, with regards to the theoretical basis about narrative analysis by Seymour Chatman. I will analyse to what extent is this series based on the unreliability of the narrator and how is it revealed. I intend to describe the degree of reliability of the main character, Elliot Alderson, during the course of the first two seasons and his crossing from his own belief in his reliability to confessed lying to the viewer. Furthermore I will focus on the use of focalization and the breaking of the fourth wall, and the extent to which they might influence the effect the narrator has on the audience. The first two seasons of the series that were available at the time of the assignment of this thesis will be discussed.
