Cílem této práce je získat komplexní náhled na současnou čínskou etnickou politiku a prostřednictvím analýzy legislativy a odborných studií určit směr, kterým se v současnosti tato politika ubírá, a pokusit se odhadnout i budoucí vývoj. Jako primární zdroje budou sloužit Ústava Čínské lidové republiky, Zákon o regionální autonomii a další zákony ošetřující problematiku etnických menšin. Tento výzkum si bude klást také otázku, jestli čínská vláda usiluje o kulturní asimilaci etnických menšin a jejich integraci.The purpose of this thesis was to analyze an overal strategy of the Chinese government towards ethnic minorities living on the Chinese territory. To achieve this goal it is necessary to first analyze current legislature, which might have an impact on theit lives, such a legislature includes Chinese Constitution, Law of the People's Republic of China on Regional National Autonomy and others. Many of the measures adopted by government, which should lead to a betterment of the lives of ethnic minorities, end up benefiting people of the Han ethnicity. Most of the minority laws are not formulated well and can't be applied in practice.
