Bakalářská práce pojednává o azorských slavnostech Ducha svatého. První kapitola podává obecné informace o slavnosti, popisuje její hlavní pilíře a definuje pojmy spojené se slavností. Druhá kapitola se zabývá původem a historií slavnosti, popisuje dobovou filosofii a další okolnosti, které zapříčinily zrod slavnosti ve středověké Evropě a její šíření do Portugalska. Třetí kapitola popisuje příchod slavnosti na Azorské ostrovy a její vývoj až do dnešní podoby. Poslední, čtvrtá kapitola se věnuje šíření slavností Ducha svatého z Azorských ostrovů do dalších zemí světa.This bachelor thesis deals with the Azorean Holy Ghost festival. The first chapter provides general information about the festival, it describes its main pillars and defines some terms connected with the festival. The second chapter deals with the origin and history of the festival, it describes the philosophy of that time and the circumstances that initiated the festival in the medieval Europe and caused its later spreading to Portugal. The introduction of the festival on Azores and its later development to the present form is described in the chapter three. The last, fourth chapter examines the further spread of the Holy Ghost festival from the Islands to other parts of the world.
