La tesi si occupa dell'evoluzione del sistema dei casi in inglese antico e in latino. Ci poniamo lo scopo di scoprire le cause della perdita di un ricco sistema dei casi delle due lingue e di descrivere le conseguenze della transizione dal sistema sintetico al sistema analitico. La tesi ? divisa in tre parti: la prima si occupa della teoria del cambiamento linguistico in generale; la seconda ? concentrata sull'evoluzione del sistema dei casi nel latino; la terza tratta dell'evoluzione del sistema dei casi nell'inglese antico.This thesis deals with the evolution of the case system in Old English and in Latin. Its goal is to find out what led to the loss of the rich case system of synthetic cases in both languages and to describe the consequences of the transition from a synthetic system to an analytic one. The thesis is divided into three parts: the first one dwells on the theory of language change, the second on the evolution of the Latin case system and the third part on the evolution of the Old English case system.
