Cílem této práce je popsat vnímání pojmu homosexualita ve společnosti. Mimo samotné vnímání tohoto pojmu v průběhu historie se autorka také zaměřuje na typy homosexuality včetně postojů společnosti k této problematice. Další část práce je zaměřena na vztah mezi křesťanstvím a homosexualitou i výkladem Bible ve spojitosti s homosexuálním chováním. Stěžejní část této bakalářské práce je zaměřena na analýzu vybraných zemí Afriky, ve kterých jsou homosexuálně orientované menšiny znevýhodňovány jak v legislativním, tak ve společenském prostředí. Autorka poukazuje na konkrétní případy, ve kterých se objevuje homosexuální diskriminace. Zhodnocuje situaci v oblasti porušování práv homosexuálů ve čtyřech konkrétních zemích Afriky. Mezi země, které jsou zahrnuty do případové studie, patří Ghana, Kamerun, Uganda a Nigérie.This thesis aims to describe the perception of homosexuality in society. Apart from the very perception of the term in the course of history the author also focuses on the types of homosexuality including the attitudes of the society on this issue. Another part of the thesis focuses on the relationship between Christianity and homosexuality and interpretation of the Bible in connection with homosexual behavior. The empirical part of the thesis is focused on the analysis of selected African countries in which homosexual minorities are disadvantaged in the legislative and in the social environment. The author points to specific cases in which we could meet with gay discrimination. The objective of this study is to assess the situation in violation of the rights of homosexuals in four specific countries in Africa. The countries included in the case study are Ghana, Cameroon, Uganda and Nigeria.
