Obsahom diplomovej práce je zhrnutie informácií zaoberajúcich sa poskytovaním tlmočníckych služieb pre osoby so sluchovým postihnutím v znakovom jazyku, resp. posunkovej reči v Českej a Slovenskej republike. Jej súčasťou je definovanie základných pojmov, vývoj služieb a s tým súvisiacich legislatívnych úprav. Opisuje rôznorodosť činností a situácií v ktorých je spolupráca klienta s tlmočníkom nevyhnutná. Zdôrazňuje dôležitosť zrovnoprávnenia kultúry nepočujúcich a počujúcich osôb s cieľom predchádzať sociálnemu vylúčeniu sluchovo postihnutých jedincov zo spoločnosti.The subject of the Diploma Thesis is focused on the summary of information dealing with the provision of interpretating services for people with hearing disabilities with the closure focus on the sign language in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Thesis includes definitions of fundamental concepts, development of services and accompanying legislative regulation. Furthermore, the Thesis describes the diversity of activities and situations in which the collaboration between a client an interpreter is necessary. Moreover, the Thesis emphasizes the importance of culture equalization between deaf and hearing disabilities people with the aim to prevent social exclusion of hearing impaired individuals from society.
