Cílem první části práce je obeznámit čitatele s historickými událostmi týkajícími se karibské a bengálské diaspory ve Velké Británii a to převážně po druhé světové válce. Dále se tato část zaměřuje na vliv multikulturní společnosti na národní identitu a rasismus a zároveň tyto pojmy podrobně definuje. Druhá část práce se zaměřuje na literární díla britských imigrantských černošských autorek Zadie Smithové a Andrey Levyové, a to Bílé zuby a Malý ostrov. Tato část také zkoumá vliv imigrantství a s ním spojené prvky narodní identity a rasismu v jejich dílech.. -- Abstract: This master thesis deals with the issue of national identity and racism in the fiction of black immigrant writers in Great Britain. The thesis is divided into two parts. The aim of the first part is to acquaint the reader with historical events in regard to Caribbean and Bengali diaspora in Great Britain largely after the Second World War. Furthermore, this part focuses on the impact of multicultural society on national identity and racism and at the same time thoroughly illuminates those concepts. The second part of this thesis is aimed at the literary outputs of black British immigrant writers Zadie Smith and Andrea Levy, namely White Teeth and Small Island. This part examines the influence of immigration and with that connected features of national identity and racism in their fiction.
