Rod Pilosella (syn. Hieracium subgen. Pilosella) je charakteristický velkým počtem ploidních úrovní, hybridizací a rozmanitostí systémů reprodukce. The genus of Pilosella (syn. Hieracium subgen. Pilosella) is distinguished by a great number of ploidy levels, hybridization and a variety of reproduction systems. One of the ways of reproduction is through asexual seeds, so-called apomixis (agamospermy). Facultative apomicts sometimes back off this kind of reproduction and then there occurs sexual fertilization in a female plant. The current data studies reflect that apomictic plants produce more variable progeny than sexual individuals. The aim of this thesis was to find out whether this also happens to P. officinarum (6x, apomict). This species was used in a reciprocal cross in the experimental conditions with P. bauhini (4x, sexual). Both of these species were collected in the Slovak Republic. By means of determination of DNA ploidy level by cytometer, there was found out that in progeny of P. officinarum, there prevail hexaploids from apomixis with minimum octoploid hybrids (2n + n hybrids). Among the progeny of P. bauhini, there predominate then tetraploids with minimum pentaploid hybrids. A high rate of the tetraploids points to the influence of the so-called mentor effect, when it comes to the breakdown of self-incompatibility in the mixture of self and alien pollen. The results were compared to the study from the Czech Republic which was concerned about crossing species of P. officinarum (4x, sexual) and P. bauhini (6x, apomict).
