Diplomová práce se zabývá motivem handicapu, který se objevuje v literatuře pro děti a mládež. Nabízí celkový náhled na problematiku handicapu. Mapuje českou literaturu pro děti a mládež zahrnující tento motiv. Druhou část tvoří vybrané analýzy knih, ve kterých se problematika objevuje. Poslední část obsahuje návrhy pro využití analyzovaných textů v pedagogické praxi, popis realizace jednoho z nich a následnou stručnou reflexi.This thesis deals with the theme of disability, which appears in the literature for children and youth. It offers an overview on the issue of disability. It maps the Czech literature for children and youth, including this theme. The second part is the analysis of selected books in which the problem occurs. The last section contains suggestions for use of the analyzed texts in teaching practice, a description of the implementation of one of them, followed by a brief reflection.
