The aim of this thesis is to test reduction abilities of nano zerovalent iron when interacting with the solution of hexavalent chromium and to find out which type of nanoparticles used in the experiments is the best for its removing. Another aim is to determine the concentration dependence by the testing of different amounts of one nZVI type. A spectrophotometric method based on the formation of intensely coloured complex of Cr(VI) and 1,5-diphenylcarbazide was used to determine Cr(VI).
