Diplomová práce se zabývá sportovními eventy a jejich přínosem pro různé oblasti cestovního ruchu. Hlavním cílem bylo zjistit význam soutěže v rally, Barum Czech Rally Zlín, pro cestovní ruch Zlínského kraje. Práce popisuje historii a současnost soutěže a ve výsledkové části na základě dotazníkového šetření podle stanovených kritérií je vyhodnocen význam této sportovní akce pro cestovní ruch ve zkoumaném regionu. Výsledky ukázaly, že Barum Czech Rally Zlín je pro destinaci přínosem a cestovní ruch ve Zlínském kraji pozitivně ovlivňuje.My thesis deals with specific features of sport events, their position and benefits in different areas of tourism. My main goal was to determine the importance of rally competition, Barum Czech Rally Zlin, for the tourist industry of Zlin Region. In my work I described the past and present of the rally and further on I evaluated data collected through a questionnaire and summarized the role which this event plays in local touristic industry. Results of my research proved that this particular sport event is being a major contribution to its destination and it effects the regional touristic industry in a truly positive way.
