Pro úvod do problematiky je zde popsán také vývoj zrakového aparátu u dětí a adaptační mechanismy při poruchách binokulárního vidění. Největší část práce je věnována samotné amblyopii, její definici, možné klasifikaci z různých hledisek a jejím jednotlivým typům. Dále se práce věnuje prevalenci, prevenci a screeningu amblyopie, včetně různých vyšetřovacích postupů pro její diagnostiku. Závěrem je popsána léčba amblyopie a možné metody terapie.. -- Abstract: The tesis deals with amblyopia and its treatment. As an introduction, there is also described the development of the children?s visual apparatus and the adaptation mechanisms in case of the disorders of the binocular vision. The main part of the thesis is dedicated to the amblyopia itself ? its definition, possible classification from different points of view and its particular types. The thesis also discusses the prevalence, prevention and amblyopia screening including various investigative methods for its diagnostics. In the end, the thesis describes the treatment of amblyopia and possible methods of therapy.
