Tato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl analyzovat děj románu Dina Buzzatiho ?Tartarská poušť?. Teoretická část je věnována rozboru děje z pohledu lingvistiky a důraz je kladen na rozlišení italských termínů trama a intreccio. Hlavní část je pak věnována rozboru románu s důrazem na jeho dějovou redukovanost a je poukazováno na nenaplnění cíle hlavního hrdiny Giovanniho DrogThe aim of this thesis is to analyze the plot of the novel The Tartar Steppe by Dino Buzzati. The theoretical part is dedicated to the analysis of the plot from the linguistic point of view and the accent is put on the differences between the Italian terms trama e intreccio. The main part of the work is concentrated on the analysis of the novel focusing at its essential plot and its remark upon the failure to accomplish the aim of the main protagonist, Giovanni Drogo. Further attention is dedicated to the role of fate and the concept of predestination in the life of the main character.
