The paper is specialized to toponyms of ancient Mesopotamia, especially to its morfological adaptations to Czech declinational system. It analyses academic publications, encyclopedias, non-fictions, a scientific journal and textbooks for basic schools and for secondary schools too. Mainly it examines how the toponyms are classed with declinational types and if they corectly create forms of seven Czech cases. We will observe if the rules for declination of foreign toponyms are observanced and in which cases the norm is disturbed. The paper contains four chapters ? three theoretical chapters of general informations about toponyms, toponomastic and characterizations of mesopotamian toponyms and one chapter with research.
