Cílem diplomové práce je zpracování geografické analýzy české atletiky od jejího vzniku až po současnost s důrazem na období po rozdělení Československa v roce 1993. V práci je hodnocen vývoj a stav materiálně-technické základny atletiky, vývoj členské základny a hodnocení úspěšnosti atletických oddílů. Regionální komparace se opírá o území krajů a okresů, kdy je graficky znázorněna formou kartogramů a bodově lokalizovaných kartodiagramů. V závěru jsou formulována doporučení pro odpovědné instituce, která by měla vést ke zlepšení atletických poměrů ve zmíněných regionech.The goal of the diploma thesis is a geographical analysis of czech athletics from beginnings to the present with focus on the period after the end of Czechoslovakia in 1993. In the work is evaluated the material and technical base of athletics, the development of the membership base and the evaluation of the success of athletic teams. In the regional comparison are used regions, which are represented by cartograms and cartodiagrams. Recommendations are formulated. They should lead to the improvement of athletic conditions in regions of Czech republic.
