(92 809 znaků) + 1 CD ROM. -- Ved. práce Jan Schneider. -- Abstract: Práce se zabývá problematikou románu a jeho filmové adaptace. V první části jsou vymezeny možnosti a meze adaptací, po kterých následuje naratologická analýza románu a filmu. V této analýze je velký důraz kladen především na charakteristiku postav a jejich psychologické profily, dále také na vypravěče, fokalizaci či čas a modus vyprávění. Neméně důležité je také vymezení funkcí narativního prostoru a možnosti jeho zobrazení v obou zkoumaných médiích. V závěru se práce snaží zodpovědět otázku, jak film interpretuje knižní předlohu. Cílem této bakalářské práce je pokusit se o co nejkomplexnější analýzu románu a jeho adaptace a vymezit tak odlišnosti jejich práce s příběhem.. -- Abstract: The present thesis deals with the issue of a novel and its film adaptation. The first part looks into the possibilities and limitations of a film adaptation, followed by the narratological analysis of the novel and the film. This analysis is focused mostly on the characters and their psychological profiles, as well as on the narrator, focalization, narrative time and mood. Attention is also paid to the definition of the setting and the possibility of portraying the setting in both the novel and the film. The question of how the film interprets the novel is discussed in the conclusion. The aim of this thesis is to attempt a complex novel analysis and its adaptation and define the differences between their treatment of the story.
