Práce se zabývá především socio-ekonomickou charakteristikou správního obvodu ORP Nový Bydžov. Obyvatelstvo je analyzováno v několika kritériích,(věková struktura,národnostní,náboženská atd.). Zhodnocen je vývoj a současná situace na trhu práce a také hospodářství. Oblast je zhodnocena v rámci fyzicko-geografického popisu. Zachycen je historický vývoj oblasti. Na závěr jsou shrnuty slabé a silné stránky oblasti s popisem možného rozvoje a hrozeb území.Subject of this thesis is the treatment of regionally-geographical study of district Nový Bydžov. Evaluation of the historical development of the territory, followed by physical-geographical characteristics. The population of the region has been analyzed in several socio-economic characters. Economy is divided into several sections. It also covers the characteristics of the labor market. At the end of the work were evaluated using the properties of regions of SWOT analysis.
