Práce se snaží vymezit, jakým způsobem se dotýkají vlivy klimatických změn prostředí a života nejzranitelnější skupiny obyvatel, konkrétně původních zemědělských a pasteveckých komunit v peruánských Andách, jež zažívají dopady těchto změn nejpříměji. Snaží se také analyzovat možnosti řešení situace, rozebírá metody zmírnění klimatických změn z národního pohledu a možné způsoby adaptace na tyto změny. Zásadní snahou je zjistit, zda a jakým způsobem se mohou tyto komunity s klimatickými změnami vypořádat samy, či zda jsou nezbytné zásahy zvenčí. Práce se dále zabývá tradičními znalostmi těchto komunit jako možnou adaptační metodou, pocházející přímo z jejich středu a také hodnotí současné postavení komunit v rámci peruánské společnosti tak, jak je vnímají ony samotné.This thesis tries to define how the effects of climate change affect the environment and life of the most vulnerable group of people, namely the native rural and pastoral communities in the Peruvian Andes; the communities which experience these effects most directly. The thesis seeks to analyse the possible solutions to the situation, constructs the methods of the mitigation (from the national view) as well as ways of adaptating to these changes. The fundamental effort is to find out if the communities are able to handle the effects of the climate change alone or if they are dependent on intervention from outside. The thesis further considers the traditional knowledge of the native communities as the possible adaptation method coming directly from their own values and the position of these communities within the Peruvian society from their own view.
