Bobr patří mezi živočichy, kteří dokáží svou aktivitou výrazně pozměnit své okolí. Jednou z oblastí, kde dochází ke střetu mezi zájmy člověka a projevy aktivity bobra, jsou hospodářské lesní porosty. Práce se zabývá vlivem bobra evropského na tyto porosty a snaží se zhodnotit míru škod způsobených bobrem. Získaná data byla nasbírána v lesnické oplocence, kde byl vysazen porost dubu, jilmu a olše. Pomocí GPS zde byla zaznamenána poloha 4208 stromů, z toho bylo 630 okusů a 3578 stromů bylo bobrem nepoškozených. V GIS prostředí byla z naměřených dat vytvořená mapa s vyznačením všech stromů. Data byla pomocí programu Excel statisticky vyhodnocena. Porovnáním potravní nabídky a potravy skutečně přijaté bylo možné vyhodnotit potravní preferenci pomocí indexu elektivity podle Jacobse (1974). Na lokalitě byl pozorován tzv. central-place foraging effect. Dále bylo zjištěno, že 50% okusů způsobených bobrem se vyskytuje do 20 m od vstupu do oplocenky a 80% okusů do 30 m od vstupu.Beaver belongs to animals which have noticeable influence on its surroundings. Therefore, the forest plantations are the one of the areas where conflicts between man and beaver come up. This thesis deals with the influence of beaver on that forest plantation and makes an effort to evaluate the amount of the damage caused by beaver. The data was collected in the forest plantation where oak, elm and alder were planted. GPS was used for recording 4, 208 trees - 630 of them were damaged by beaver and 3578 were not. The map with all recorded points was created with the aid of the GIS programme. The data was processed by the statistical programme Excel. The comparison between food offer and food consumption was made and thus the food preference could be evaluated with index electivity according Jacobs (1974). So called central-place foraging effect was observed in the locality. The findings also showed that 50% of the damaged trees are located in the distance of up to 20 m far from the entrance to the forest plantation and 80 % of the damaged trees are located in the distance of up to 30 m far from the entrance.
