The aim of this work was to examine objectively if the bony disorder of the shoulder girdle influences the magnitude of the muscular activity of the chosen musculature participating in gait. We compared two groups of probands for this reason (the experimental one consisted of patients, the control one consisted of healthy clients). We used surface electromyography in combination with posturography tests for measuring. The results of statistics showed the significant decrease of the muscular power of musculus latissimus dorsi of the impaired upper limb, which on basis of the functional interconnection of the shoulder and the pelvic girdle and the chaining of disorders could influence the function of the other muscles of the whole body not only during bipedal locomotion.
