Tato diplomová práce se zabývá realizací kurzů znakování s kojenci a batolaty programu Baby Signs v České republice. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. První kapitola je věnována vývoji dítěte, a to konkrétně období novorozeneckému, kojeneckému a batolecímu. Ve druhé kapitole se pojednává o komunikaci. Vymezují se zde pojmy jako fylogeneze a ontogeneze řeči. Kapitola je rovněž zaměřena na specifika jednotlivých jazykových rovin a neverbální komunikaci. Třetí kapitola se věnuje vizuálně-motorickým komunikačním systémům, a to především znakovému jazyku. Poslední kapitola teoretické části pojednává o samotném programu Baby Signs, který vychází z Amerického znakového jazyka. Představuje výzkumná šetření spjata s tímto programem a metodiku Baby Signs. Použitou technikou sběru dat pro praktickou část diplomové práce jsou polostrukturované rozhovory s lektorkami znakování s kojenci a batolaty v ČR. Praktická část dále vymezuje cíle práce a metodologii výzkumu. Rovněž obsahuje interpretaci, analýzu a závěr výzkumného vyšetření.The thesis deals with Baby Sign Language Courses in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The first chapter is about child development, specifically the newborn, infant and toddler periods. The second chapter deals with communication. Concepts such as the phylogeny and ontogenesis of language are defined. The chapter also focuses on the specifics of the different levels of language and nonverbal communication. The third chapter focuses on visual-motor communication systems, especially sign language. The last chapter of the theoretical section discusses the Baby Signs program itself, which is based on American Sign Language. It introduces the research investigations associated with this program and the Baby Signs methodology. The data collection technique used for the practical part of the thesis is semi-structured interviews with signing instructors with infants and toddlers in the Czech Republic. The practical part further defines the objectives of the thesis and the research methodology. It also includes the interpretation and analysis of the collected data and conclusion of the research.
