It historically summarizes and examines the relations between poetry and playwriting and suggests a systematization of poetic tendencies through the Western Europen theatrical context in the given period. The focus of the thesis lies on linguistic, visual and communication transformations. It uses theatrological and literary analysis of the texts written by Harold Pinter, Peter Handke, Elfriede Jelinek, Heiner Müller, Dea Loher, Roland Schimmelpfenig and Caryl Churchill. The thesis perceives this problematic in the context of a long-term research on changes in European dramatics.
