Statisticky významný rozdíl v míře symptomů IGD mezi pohlavími nalezen nebyl (p = 0,85).The aim of this thesis was to explore the relationships between gaming disorder, depression, resilience, socio-demographic data, time spent playing digital games, and game genres. The theoretical part of the work copied the above topics. The research part was carried out by quantitative approach, data were collected by self-selection using an online questionnaire. We tested the validity of the hypotheses on a group of adults aged 18-50 years. The prevalence of gaming disorder in our research group was 0.3%, of which 60% were men and 40% were women. Based on the results of statistical tests, we claim that there is a significant difference (p <0.05) in the degree of IGD symptoms, the degree of depression, and the degree of resilience between the observed groups of players by genre. We also found a significant difference (p <0.05) in BMI between the observed groups of players by genre. We found a significant relationship (p <0.05) between the degree of depression and the degree of IGD symptoms, between the degree of resilience and the degree of IGD symptoms, between the degree of IGD symptoms and age, between the degree of IGD symptoms and average playing time on weekdays and days off. We have not found a significant difference in the degree of IGD symptoms between the sexes (p = 0,85).
