Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tvorbou českého překladu vědeckého textu o historii techniky z dosud nepřeloženého díla "Technik in Deutschland. Vom 18. Jahrhundert bis heute" (2008) od Joachima Radkaua s odborným komentářem. V teoretické části práce je charakterizována teorie překladu a předmět jejího zkoumání, vysvětleny základní pojmy, specifikován odborný překlad, odborný styl a jeho vlastnosti, popsána ekvivalence a kompozice. Celou teoretickou část uzavírá život a dílo autora společně s českým překladem vědeckého textu. Praktická část se zabývá komentářem k překladu. Největší pozornost byla věnována především kompozitům a dále pak jevům, které se v textu vyskytovaly nejčastěji. Komentář je zaměřen na popis jednotlivých překladatelských problémů, představuje návrhy jejich řešení a zdůvodňuje použité překladatelské postupy.This thesis deals with the production of a Czech translation of a scientific text about the history of technology from the previously untranslated work "Technik in Deutschland. Vom 18. Jahrhundert bis heute" (2008) by Joachim Radkau, with an expert commentary. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes the theory of translation and the object of its investigation, explains the basic terms, specifies the technical translation, the technical style and its characteristics, describes equivalence and composition. The whole theoretical part concludes with the life and work of the author together with the Czech translation of the scientific text. The practical part deals with the commentary of the translation. Most attention has been paid to compounds and then to the phenomena that occurred most frequently in the text. The commentary focuses on the description of individual translation problems, presents suggestions for their solution and justifies the translation procedures used.
