This bachelor thesis researches the branding strategies of German Netflix Originals. The goal of this thesis is to describe these strategies on the basis of four research categories: Visuals, Theme, Advertising and The bond with the consumer. The research categories are being applied on a sample of three Netflix Originals from the years 2017 to 2019. The selected sample consists of the shows Dark, We are the Wave and Perfume. Through brand analysis the thesis identifies how the selected programmes establish their own identity. This thesis consists of three parts. In the first part it describes the methodology and defines the aspects of the programmes that are included under the research categories. The second part analyses each program individually. The third part compares the results and interprets these to argue for their relationship with the brand of Netflix.
