Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na popis základní terminologie týkající se osob s mentálním postižením, zaměřuje se na obecné vymezení sexuality a specifikuje sexualitu osob s mentálním postižením. Dále poukazuje na vývoj postojů společnosti k osobám s mentálním postižením a zabývá se problematikou rodiny a pečujících osob. V závěru krátce představí sociální služby, které cílová skupina využívá. Empirická část práce je věnována výzkumu. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaká je informovanost spojená se sexualitou u osob s mentálním postižením, které žijí v domácím prostředí s rodinou anebo v chráněném bydlení.. -- Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of sexuality of people with intellectual disabilities. The theoretical part describes the basic terminology concerning people with mental disabilities, and focuses on the general definition of sexuality and specifies the sexuality of people with mental disabilities. It also traces the development of the attitudes of society towards people with intellectual disabilities and deals with the issue of family and carers. Finally, it briefly introduces social services that the target group uses. The empirical part of the thesis is based on research. The aim of this work is to discover the awareness of sexuality of people with mental disabilities who live at home with their family or who live in sheltered housing.
