V teoretické části práce najdeme informace o fitness, sportovní výživě, důležitosti vody v lidském těle a pitném režimu sportovce. Hlavním cílem práce bylo odhalit stav zavodnění členů fitness klubu před započetím plánované tréninkové jednotky. Pomocí anketního šetření byly zjištěny charakteristiky výzkumného souboru, antropometrické parametry a pitný režim členů klubu. This Bachelor's Thesis deals with the influence of hydration and nutrition on a sportsman's physical performance. The theoretical part provides information about fitness, sport nutrition, the importance of water in a human body and the sportsman's fluid intake. The main goal of the thesis was to reveal the level of hydration among members of the fitness club before the beginning of their planned training. By means of survey investigation, characteristics of the researched unit, anthropometric parameters as well as hydration of the club members were discovered. The researched unit comprised of 30 men between 27 and 37. The level of hydration was analyzed through given urine sample using refractometer. The urine density level of the research unit was 0,019 ? 0,008, thus on average clients were in the state of euhydration. 14 men (46,7 %) were dehydrated before the training unit. It has been discovered, that clients consume appropriate drinks during the day as well as during physical activity, however only 1 client knew what the estimated amount of fluid intake for a grown male is according to the EFSA (2010). Further, a statistically significant correlation between the daily amount of consumed fluids and a client subjective evaluation of fluids intake has been found out (r = - 0,4436, p = 0,034). The results of the analysis confirm the importance of fluid intake principles and their obedience in fitness clubs.
