Ženy boli rozdelené do kategórií podľa BMI, gestačnej telesnej hmotnosti a parity. Dané podskupiny boli následne porovnávané z hľadiska výskytu vybraných komplikácií počas tehotenstva. Výsledky: Podľa našich výsledkov existuje signifikantný rozdiel medzi obéznymi ženami a ženami s normálnym BMI z hľadiska výskytu GDM, gestačnej hypertenzie, predčasného pôrodu. Zistili sme štatisticky významný rozdiel medzi ženami s nadmernou gestačnou telesnou hmotnosťou a adekvátnou gestačnou telesnou hmotnosťou z hľadiska výskytu preeklampsie. Goal: The primary goal of the thesis was to find out find out the impact of lifestyle on pregnancy. Design and methodology: The method of research investigation was quantitative research. Data ware carried out by the questionnaire survey. The questionnaire was created by its own design after consultation with statistisc of FZV. A total of 124 women hospitalized at the puerperal ward at the University Hospital in Olomouc were included in the research. Women were categorized by BMI, gestational body weight and parity. These subgroups were subsequently compared for the incidence of selected complications during pregnancy. Results: According to our results, there is a significant difference between obese women and women with normal BMI in prevalence of GDM, gestational hypertension, preterm labor. We found a statistically significant difference between women with excessive gestational body weight and adequate gestational body weight for preeclampsia. It is necessary to observe the limits of our research, especially the unequal number of respondents in the compared groups and also the low number of respondents in the research sample overall. Conclusion: The data show that obesity affects the incidence of complications in pregnancy such as gestational diabetes mellitus, gestational hypertension, premature birth. Excessive gestational body weight affects the incidence of preeclampsia. Parity does not affect the incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus or gestational hypertension.
