Vzhledem k vysoké prevalenci močové inkontinence u žen je vnímán tento problém jako celosvětový. Porod vaginální cestou patří mezi potvrzené rizikové faktory pro vznik stresové inkontinence. Teoretická část se zabývá definicí močové inkontinence, její klasifi-kací, rizikovými faktory, diagnostikou a léčbou. Následující kapitola je zaměřena na roli porodní asistentky v rámci edukace žen v oblasti dané problematiky. Praktická část je vě-nována výzkumu pomocí dotazníkového šetření u žen po vaginálním porodu. Analýza dat a jejich interpretace informují o tom, jaká je souvislost mezi výskytem močové inkontinence a porodní hmotností novorozence, episiotomií, či jiným porodním poraněním.Due to high prevalence of urinary incontinence in women, this problem is perceived as a global problem. Vaginal delivery is one of the confirmed risk factor for stress urinary incontinence. The theoretical part deals with the definition of urinary incontinence, its classification, risk factors, diagnostics and treatment. The following chapter is focused on the role of midwife in the context of women's education in the area of the subject. The practical part is devoted to research using a questionnaire survey in women after vaginal delivery. Data analysis and their interpretation inform about the relationship between the occurrence of urinary incontinence and neonatal birth weight, episiotomy or other injuries during delivery.
