Tato práce poukazuje na faktory, které ovlivnily postoje Jessiky (Kupec benátský, William Shakespeare) a Abigail (Maltský žid, Christopher Marlowe) vůči své vlastní rase. Argumentuji zde, že paradoxní fenomén nesnášenlivosti žen vůči vlastní etnické příslušnosti je jednou z charakteristických rysů postav Židů v 16. století.
