Práce se zabývá problematikou včasné diagnostiky manuálních dovedností u studentů vysokoškolského studia oboru zubní lékařství. Vyhodnotili jsme testy manuálních dovedností na haptickém simulačním zařízení a následně ověřili diagnostické využití těchto testů v oblasti predikce nízkého výkonu studentů v časných fázích studia zubního lékařství. Prokázali jsme silnou asociaci mezi výsledky haptických testů a preklinickými výkony studentů.This dissertation explores an alternative menthod for manual dexterity assessment in dental education via haptic simulation technology. We have shown strong association between student performance in complex haptic simulation tests and early preclinical operative dentistry performance. Early assessment of dental student performance can help with allocation of additional resourses to help the already enrolled student succeed or to provide an additional tool to evaluate applicants to admission committees.
